Complete Your Spring Look With a New Knit Cardi

Spring weather is notorious for its unpredictability. It can be sunny one day and chilly the next, so dressing in layers is key, especially when you are traveling.

I just finished a new hand-knit that would make the perfect layering piece for Spring travel — the Amalfi Cardigan by designer Tayler Harris! It has classic cardigan details and a modern silhouette. With an easy fit, it is the ultimate “throw on and go” piece that pulls together any outfit.

The oversize pockets and substantial button band are really cool details. I lengthened the sleeve cuffs and make them more fitted to give the sleeves a poufy look. The center back seam detail and defined raglan sleeve seems are subtle ways that make this design extra interesting.

The cardigan is so cozy and versatile — it can look great with a variety of outfit combinations. I’m partial to topping off a jeans + button-down shirt look with this cardigan, but I can see it over shorts + t-shirt for a sunset walk on the beach; belted over a tank + pencil skirt for an office look; or buttoned over a maxi dress for a stroll after an evening out!

The Amalfi Cardigan is knit with Woolfolk Far yarn, a 100% ultimate merino wool fiber that knits up into a super soft and drapey fabric. The colors are stunning, ranging from neutrals such as winter white and beige to a deep navy blue and black. I used color #32, which is a mid-gray with a tinge of blue. The photos read more gray, but in a certain light, the knitted fabric has a faint hint of blue in it, which I just love!
