Handknit classic twinset modeled

Wearing my Handknit Twinset in the Wild

I finished knitting the Woolfolk Pringle Twinset back in June but didn’t have a chance to wear it out until now because the weather has been so warm!

As I wrote in a prior post, I love how this set turned out. The Woolfolk Tynd yarn knits up into a soft, drapey, and lightweight fabric. I chose to make the shell in a random stripe pattern, which is a variation on the classic mariniere style.

This classic twinset is such a timeless style that has been around for 90 years! There’s a reason for this — it is a versatile style that can elevate a casual shorts + sneakers outfit as well as impart a sense of nonchalance to a formal maxi skirt + pearls. I like to wear my twinset with jeans and heels, which is one of my fave “casual but pulled together” looks.

If you are a handknitter, check out the yarn and pattern for this classic knit!
